Dr. Banks is a proud product of the Bullock County Public School System, where she graduated in 1995 with honors. She is a graduate of Alabama A&M University, earning a B.S. in Biology in 1999. She continued her education in Nashville, TN, where she earned her M.S. in Guidance and Counseling with a concentration in grades PreK-12 in 2004, from Tennessee State University. In 2007, she went on to earn an Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. In 2015, she earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Law from Alabama State University.
Dr. Banks has served many students in her role as a teacher, school counselor, and facilitator. She is very passionate about her life’s work an educator. She has developed lasting relationships with many of her students and strives to make a difference in the lives of all she comes in contact with. She has served the middle Tennessee area and the River Region with professionalism and dignity in her 16 years in the educational arena. Currently, Dr. Banks serves as the School Counseling. She is actively involved in the learning process of the students in the program.
In November of 2016, Dr. Banks was elected as a member of the Bullock County Board of Education (Place Four). She is passionate, dedicated, and serious about the business of impacting the lives of our youth.
