Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 provides services for students who, although they do not qualify for special education services, require special assistance to meet the goals established for all students of the Bullock County Board of Education. To qualify under Section 504, the student must have a physical or mental impairment, which substantially limits one or more of the following major life activities:

  • Learning
  • Walking
  • Seeing
  • Hearing
  • Speaking
  • Breathing
  • Working
  • Caring for oneself
  • Performing manual tasks
