Our mission is to facilitate optimal learning for all students. This measure will enable them to lead fulfilling and productive lives in this rapidly changing and increasingly complex society. We will accomplish our mission by providing a clean, safe, and nurturing environment.
The Bullock County Public School System, through its educational process, will motivate, excite, and challenge learners in a safe, supportive environment. High expectations will give all students the incentive to become active problem-solvers and lifelong learners, willing to take educational risks. Students will value and strive toward ownership of their learning, setting personal goals to reach their highest potential.
The school curriculum will address students’ individual needs, talents, and differences. We will offer enrichment opportunities that expand basic curriculum to students and community members.
We will support teachers both philosophically and financially to create and maintain a positive learning environment. We will respect and recognize teachers and students for their knowledge, abilities, dedication, and commitment. We will afford them the opportunities to collaborate and plan with other professionals, exchanging ideas and information vital to the curriculum and to their growth as educators.
Facilities will be clean, spacious, well-maintained, and attractive, making them conducive to a variety of teaching and learning experiences. School administrators and teachers will talk with parents and the community about philosophy, teaching approaches, curriculum, resources, and state curriculum demands.
Schools will be an asset to the community, sharing resources, promoting generations working together and producing responsible citizens. The Bullock County Public School System will show respect for all students and their work. We will give students information and support that aid in their understanding of the individual course requirements and the grading structure. Students will receive prompt and constructive response for their work from teaching professionals. We will treat students as a valued partner in the education process and, when appropriate, give them opportunities to provide ideas into school policy, curriculum development and other issues affecting student development.
